From my own collections, a superb hallmarked English sterling silver and fine tortoise shell combine as a beautiful jewelry box, dressing table box. Chocolate to cognac coloration to the shell, and raised on cabriole silver legs, it is just slightly shy of the 100 years of a true antique, and presents without flaws. Beautifully preserved, slight age to interior.
Very good to excellent condition, no dents, no damage. Even the old interior remains very nice. Weighted bottom, it's heavy in the hand and so elegant. Larger size at 5 1/4" x 3 1/4" and rises 2" high. A silver pique wreath nested into the tortoise shell. So fine!
