In over 30 years, we've only found a handful (like five) of these beautiful early 1800s French accordions, property called a "Flutina". Beautiful rosewood veneers on this one and hardwood case, carved or shaped mother of pearl key covers and ornate card and parchment baffles. Beautiful just to display, this one actually will play. I feel like it's a bit fragile, though I do get all the key notes working it. Probably needs a strap on the bottom side. The cabinet on this one is beautiful, with serpentine shaping, rosewood veneers with fruitwood string inlays and all of the mother of pearl keys are intact. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent with age and type considered. First half of 1800s, the case in rosewood veneers remains in excellent condition, age considered. Card and fine leather baffles in remarkably complete condition with the exception of a hole on one side (shown in images) It still plays though and I have a video but I'll have to crop it before adding or can email, just message us and we'll send. Photos from all angles show the full condition. Beautiful as it is, a wonderful display or musical instrument collector's item!
