Gorgeous antique Alvin Mfg. Co. American sterling silver overlay 8oz 6 5/8” tall liquor flask with solid sterling silver base that doubles as a cup, ornate leaves, vines or tendrils & grape bunches theme and in wonderful condition! The hinge and cup base are marked “sterling”, the base of the cup also with “Alvin” and possibly a pattern number of “F7-7C”. Alvin Corporation, founded in 1886 as Alvin Mfg. Co. In 1919 the name changed to Alvin Silver Co until 1928. This one surely dates to the early 1900s. A stunning piece, don’t miss it!
Very good condition. Nearly pristine other than a small section of the silver overlay on the back that is missing (see images). No cracks, etc. and only very tiny nips to the edges of the neck, it even has the original cork stopper in the lid. See pictures for all measurements.
