Fine antique Edwardian era Black Forest hand carved 7.5" pocket watch or pendant display plaque with game bird and foliage! If you have a great old antique or heirloom pocket watch or pendant, what better way to display it than with a wall hung piece like this. Back in the days when pocket watches were an everyday item, one might take it out after the day has ended and hang it on a fixture such as this or perhaps this might hang next to your work space so that you could glance up for the time. This one hand carved in likely linden wood, the most commonly used in Black Forest pieces due to its pliability. A lovely little piece!
Very good condition. A few small chips but in overall fine shape. It's currently misting a hook on which to hang the watch but I'll make one, perhaps twisted brass wire, before mailing out. The piece is 7.5" tall, 5" did and the area for the watch has a 1 7/8" diameter.
