A spectacular 19th century carved cheroot pipe, meerschaum bowl and hand carved wood stem that is surmounted by the most fabulous bull elk, or large stag deer. Finished with a carved amber mouthpiece, and in the original fitted leather-clad case, this one is perfectly preserved just as you see it. It would appear to have never or very rarely ever been used. The carved stag/elk is superb. Photos tell all, including measurements.
Very good to excellent condition, protected and treasured within the original fitted carrying case, etui, it suffers no breaks nor loss, no damage. The outer case has a few rubs to surface but not much. Clasp works fine. A magnificent example of 1800s Black Forest carver's art.
