Wonderful antique continental .800 (nearly sterling) silver 3pc dinner sized table setting for one with ornate stylized seashell accented pattern and in the original lovely embossed presentation case with figural scene including romantic themed man & woman, spinning wheel & flower filled vases on window sill! A wonderful set, it appears that the spoon is likely a replacement but the pattern close enough to work and all in fine condition. The hallmarks are foreign to me and I've not been able to narrow down a country of manufacture or silversmith but the "13" a common marking on continental pieces and designates .800 silver content (80% pure or finer silver so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The box or travel case/etui in the style of Johann Heinrich Stobwasser, papier mache with a figural scene on top of a man & woman in a courtyard, the woman with a spinning wheel to her right and chatelaine style handbag. Lovely!
Very good condition. Both fork and knife have the original pre-stainless steel blade & tines and they do have a bit of surface age darkening or corrosion marks. Slight separation visible at the handle mounts on the fork, even more slight on the knife. As noted above, the spoon is not original to the set we think though it is possible.
