Rare vintage eglomise souvenir casket, cigarette box with reverse painted convex glass top, "Entrance Soldiers' Field Chicago", a 1933 world expo souvenir piece! We normally find and offer these old eglomise pieces as Grand Tour souvenirs of Europe, Paris most notably. This one likely made in France but for the 1933 World Fair held in Chicago and featuring the infamous Soldiers' Field. Great for the sports and/or expo collector, don't miss it!
Very good condition. The box appears to be in gilded white metal but I'm not sure of the actual alloy. No damage and it still has the original wood interior. No damage to the convex glass top. See pictures for measurements.
