Beautiful old trick-fold wallet or cigar, spectacles case. The center pouch appears to be fine to hold up to 3 cigars or your reading glasses. There are sections to tuck money into, matches, a place where a pocket mirror once would have been (I think) in a silvered frame. Room for calling cards or business cards, and all seems to have never been put to use. Were the mirror still in place, I'd swear it's been just tucked away and never used. Look it over. Fine leather outer and also interior with that oval of very fine old silk embroidery work. A fold-over pouch for vest, I feel certain it was initially for a gentleman, but certainly pretty enough for a women.
Very good to excellent condition, only missing a little mirror inside that protected metal frame you see (easily replaced). Gold embossed and further embossed outer leather is sumptuous, supple, shows no deterioration. Same with inside. There is, on our images, a fold to the moire silk lining there right of the embroidery, but it's not deterioration. Just a fold. Really very nice throughout as you can see.
