Late 19th to earliest 20th century Art Nouveau Ballon form French hand fan, horn monture in excellent condition, raised gold work. The embroidered sequins leaf is silk and quite split at folds, as you can see in our photos, but as noted the entire monture of this antique fan is excellent. For restoration or perhaps replacement of leaf, it was among a group of antique fans found in France some time ago. Nearly finished pulling fans from crates at our warehouse. Good to Excellent - the leaf rather poor, with splits to the silk, but still could be framed and displayed just as it is. The entire monture is excellent, not a single flaw notable on it after a minimum of 100 years since created. Photos show it well and you can evaluate. Offering at a price with restoration in mind.
