Lovely antique French Napoleon III or Victorian era 15 1/4” tall ‘vide poche’ (empty pocket) or jewelry & trinket dish with raised white enamel floral decorated cobalt glass vases, beveled vanity mirror and figural cornice! A beautiful decorative piece! The contrast between the Mary Gregory style white enamel against the deep cobalt blue glass is wonderful and all displayed on a gilt brass or bronze wire framework with figural top & pierced or reticulated rims to the vases. The lobed cobalt glass dish set in the base is a replacement but works and the beveled boudoir or coeval style vanity mirror is original.
Very good condition. As noted, the base dish is a later replacement but all else is original. There is a portion of the figural bird appliqué missing from the left side (just under the mirror. The left side bolt that holds the tilting mirror is a spherical brass replacement (you can see what the original looked like on the right side). See images for all measurements.
