Truly pristine old pair of scent bottles from c.1830-50 Paris, still with their original stoppers inside (not stuck), and without a single bit of loss or damage to report. They must have come directly out of their scent caddy, but this is how they came to us. Rarely do we find these so well preserved. The scenes you'll recognize from Paris include the Medici Palace (now the National Assembly) and the Concord and fountains nearby. Both views from one of Paris' most iconic spots, just near the Tuileries Palace, on that long elegant walk from the Louvres Palace to the Arch de Triomphe.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Not a tiny nip, not a chip, not a flea bite to stoppers, which are the originals and are both in place and easily removed (not stuck). Clean, high-gold alloy metal shroud and hinged caps, we have not even had to polish. And the paintings are splendid, both. Not a flaw. Larger sized pair, 3.25" tall and a hair under 2" square at base. The little souvenir paintings are each 1" in diameter, so tiny and so perfectly accomplished.
