Obviously salvaged from what would have been a beautiful fitted early 1800s Palais Royal sewing box, the type we love to find and bring to you, this is a single pair of fine scissors. Pearl handles with 18k gold medallion and sparkle pique around it, nicely carved handles and sharp steel blades. I don't think of these as scissors to use, the old pearl is rather too fragile and so advise these be for the collector. Full measurements missed being noted on photos, and are: 4" long in full, 1.5" wide across handle.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, sharp steel blades without much corrosion and elegant carved handles with nothing missing in the delicately inlaid 18k gold trim. One finger loop has what seems like a super-fine hairline, not a break, but as with all of these I do not suggest using for your sewing. These are museum pieces, over 200 years old, preserved to display. NOTE: Embroidered panel is there to show them off, and is not included.
