Fabulous Antique Swiss hand carved cigar presenter, a lift-out inner tray fitted to hold 26 cigars, the Little house or cabin is that of forest figures, a dressed rabbit or hare who delivers a litter to the fox, also dressed and holding a book. You see foliage and the carved windows and door, thatching to the roof. The box has the original working lock with key. Full measurements are noted on the photos. Smallish cigars, or in it's time, cheroots, 4.5" x .5" drilled openings.
Very good to excellent condition, a small nip tot he ear of the fox. All legs, tails and the rabbit's ears are fine - even the slender letter and carved book. Perhaps a leaf tip chip, but no significant chips and no cracks or splits to the old wood. Guestimating it late 1800s to earliest 1900s.
