Superb antique to vintage likely French hand painted & kiln-fired Limoges style enamel plaque, "Diana Leaving Her Bath" after the 1742 oil pithing by Francois Boucher, displayed in a gilded solid wood frame!  I really can't be sure but I think that the frame is a later addition for the plaque, the only way to really tell is to try to remove the enamel but I hesitate to do so.  The enamel itself in the Limoges style with some metallic looking areas common in those works.  The detail is exquisite and the subject matter quite attractive with hounds off to the left.  The plaque itself with a slightly convex shape, surely on copper and I can't see a signature though it may be quite small or hidden by the metal framing.  The original Boucher painting now hangs in the Louvre, Paris.  Very impressive, don't miss this one!

Very good to excellent condition.  I see no hairlines in the enamel, no chipping or losses there to note.  As noted earlier, the frame is surely a later addition and has labels on the back that don't quite match the actual enamel work.  I'm really thinking of trying to pry the enamel off just to see what the back looks like and if there are any hidden markings.  Truly as exquisite work of art.  See pictures for all measurements.
