Sweet little treasure, it's a 19th century carved mother of pearl bookmark with a sitting poodle up top, not a chip nor crack. The longer blade tucks over the page one is marking, and page slips up between the long and the short blades. Amazing it's made it without loss! Full measurements noted on photos.
