Gorgeous antique French sterling silver & intaglio etched or engraved glass 5 5/8” tall sugar shaker or sifter with ornate bow, ribbon & foliate garland decoration and wonderful condition! Another find from our Paris trip, this one just had to come home with me! One of those things that you find and sort of just fall in love with immediately. I’d though we’d use it back at home when making crepes, trying to relive the memories. The silver has the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number “1” within that mark means it’s in .950 silver (95% pure so above the .925 standard for “sterling” silver). The silversmith mark is for Olier & Caron, Paris circa 1910-1936. An opulent addition to your fine dining service, use for powdered sugar when serving your own crepes, fresh fruit or whatever. It’s the details that matter, right!
Very good to excellent condition. Possible a tiny nip or two to the base but no larger chips, no dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for all measurements.
