Superb Louis XVI & Marie-Antoinette era pocket etui, Palais Royal mother of pearl veneer with silver and gold foil pressed into incised decorative panels. No chips or cracks, losses on any of the panels. The little jewel of a box, or 'necessaire has a partial fitting into which a spoon and a bottle with stopper and hinged cap remain. Seems like a scent flask, and is pristine, no damage in neck, stopper intact. The presence of a matching tiny spoon might suggest it is a snuff flask rather than the more obvious perfume vial. Also would be consistent with the time frame of this type of necessaire.  Full measurements noted on photos.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, no breaks, no chips or cracks or imperfections in the outer case. Hinge and clasp working perfectly. Partial fitting inside where the scent or snuff bottle rests along with the small attending spoon. Shown from all sides, views. One of the most beautiful we've had.
