Some of the most charming antique blown glass came to us from the Dutch, and these were 1700s wine decanters for each place setting at formal dinners. Mouth blown, so they're all slightly different, applied ripple or ruffle glass decoration, 2 side handles, and then engraved decoration of windmills, grapes, birds, sailing vessels, and flowers on each of the 6 panels separated by the ripple-glass.  Superb works of glassmaker's art, they would have originally had cork stoppers, some with silver fittings up top.  More and more rare to find outside of museum collections, it's wonderful to have found a matching pair from the same maker, still together.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, it's quite amazing these survive at all, let along survive with handles intact and all that applied hot glass ripple trim. I see no breaks. Possibly a small chip of a ripple, but not anything distracting. Museum worthy. Easier to view against a black backing, and they do wonderful refractions in lighted cases. Netherlands arts, c.1700s. Measurements are noted on the photos. You are buying the pair, together.
