The outer border panels salvaged from a large 17th century hand woven French or Flemish verdure tapestry, these await the decorator in you! A full 7.6 foot long pair, you can flank a doorway, framed or simply backed and hung. You could sew them together and create a king bed wall hanging or headboard on the horizontal, with some left over to make up pillows to match. RARE to find pairs like this, and I found them in Paris some time ago, but only 'refound' them at the warehouse recently. Really nice tapestry, they've been worked over and also have an edging in teal blue-green which gives you a little more to work with. Super long and narrow panels are hard to show in photos. You'll have to use your imagination a little. The final couple of photos show these (folded in part) along with other border panels I'll be listing soon.
Good to very good to excellent for age and type. Each one has a vintage woven teal edging that has been sewn to outer edges which makes them easier to work with. I'm sure whomever did that was also the person who did any small restorations. I don't find any holes or broken warp that would pose a problem in use. We roll them to store and to ship. They have no offensive odors, are ready to enjoy.
