Beautiful young girl, perhaps 10-12 in age, with a guillotine or Titan haircut, very short and swept forward - a style Royalists wore in protest and remembrance of their family and Royals who met their fate at the guillotine. A sweet innocence in the capture of her tilted shy chin and her upturned gaze. Beautiful girl! Full measurements noted on the photos. Very fine heavy dore bronze frame, appearance of a thin gold front panel adhered to brass backing. I have not yet tested for karat.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. I do not see a flaw to note. The label to back is shown as reference to either artist or perhaps the girl, and date - only partially readable as noted on photos. Portrait in gouache on wafer, perfect condition.
