The company exported silverware to various countries and gained international success and global presence. The company was established in the 1830s by George Richards Elkington and his cousin, Henry Elkington; the company originally operated under the name G. R. Their attention to detail and intricate designs were indications of the high quality of the work, which was significantly acknowledged by royalty and celebrities of the time, including the monarch Queen Victoria who commissioned household items, aiding their already increasing reputation. One of the further main high points of their career was obtaining an Imperial and Royal Warrant of Appointment from the emperor of Austria.

An elegant addition to your fine dining table service!

Very good condition. As noted, the spoons are not original. The three original pieces (salts & mustard) are in wonderful shape with only a very minor dimple or two. The mustard has the original cobalt glass liner, salts have no liners so may have lost them or never had any to begin with. The box is as near pristine as could be. See images for all individual measurements.

https://antiques-uncommon-treasure.com/products/antique-english-sterling-silver-mustard-pot-open-salts-set-with-french-spoons-original-box
