A charming 19th century French frame, easel or hanging loop on back and complete with the old tin backing and glass inside, ready for you to simply add your 4" x 5" oval cut photo (just lay the glass on your photo, trace around it, cut to size). The frame is c.1850-1900, has a superb acanthus cartouche up top with wreath form. Without the wreath top, the frame is 5" tall and 4" wide, 3/8" thick. Some of my favorite photo frames for my own home. I have a 2nd one of these frames, will offer it for sale separately but you might like to buy both and have a matching pair. Look for the other one - sold separately, shown together in our final photo.
Very good to excellent condition, dore bronze face is bright and elegant. Glass and back and easel are all in place, ready to just insert your favorite photo and display. Very nicely preserved without loss or dents, bends. The tin backing panel shows age, as you can see, but that's part of the charm.
