Someone's "grand tour" around c.1900 took them to Angers, France, and this is the souvenir they brought back home. These buildings in this town, including that gothic cathedral, are still a destination for travelers and still look very much the same. This might become your souvenir of your trip, or just to add to your collection. It is a photo printed on glass, windows are backed with thin mother of pearl which gives them a shimmer in light, providing dimension to the image. A painted sky, and a sweet pressed gilt brass frame with original card backing has at least 120 years now and is still wonderful. Display it with your collection of boxes. Measurements noted on photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I see no flaws to report. Photos show all, though I had a tough time catching the mother of pearl reflections in the windows.
