With the beautiful old church of Marseille as a back-painted gravure (print image originally from a photo gravure engraved plate) and backed by mother of pearl to light and give shimmer and color to he windows and architectural accents. A wonderful view, dating c. 1900, give or take a few years, it's worked into a lovely holy font with mother of pearl font/basin, pressed brass frame that is 8.5" in height. Very good to excellent, no missing pain on the backside of that convex glass the brass frame holds. The mother of pearl accents shimmer in light and make it seem lighted. No breaks, no cracks nor chips. The mother of pearl font is also in fine form, as you can see. The overall measurements are 8.5" in height, 5" widest and 1 5/8" in depth at the font. A crucifix tops it and forms the hanging mount.
