Here is a 'triplet' frame - actually perfect for a portrait of bride, groom, and centered with their wedding portrait, yes? Or for your 3 children, 3 grandchildren (or a trilogy of favorite photos of one child). No matter what favorite photos you find to grace this magnificent antique French bronze frame, they're going to be all the more perfect when so displayed. The frame is Napoleon III, or Second Empire, and is a prime example of the revival of Napoleon & Josephine's 'French Empire' style that remains so popular today. Dating from 1840-80 or so, this one retains its easel backing, but the silk ribbon that attaches it, limiting the expansion, is missing and needs to be replaced. A tiny annoyance more than a flaw, as the frame will stand as you see it. Spectacular with its original wood mat and all that lovely ormolu trim. Nice size and fresh from France. Tres magnifique, non?
Very good to excellent condition! No faults to note - look through out photos. Ready to use and enjoy.
