Absolutely gorgeous antique French Napoleon III to Belle Epoque era sterling silver & solid mother of pearl handled 18pc table knife set, a 3pc setting for SIX with engraved or incised monograms and pristine condition! Of all the antique knives we find and offer, those with the mother of pearl handles have always been my favorite. Both cool and weighty in hand, the way the pearl shimmers and overall aesthetic is simply unbeatable in my opinion. This a 3pc table setting for six, so, one for the smaller gatherings and guaranteed to impress. The set consists of six larger dinner knives, six entremet or luncheon sized knives and six fruit or dessert knives with hallmarked sterling silver blades. There are no tiny hallmarks on the handle caps & collars or ferules but that’s quite common in the smaller silver portions. The blades of the fruit or dessert knives bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks mean they're in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for “sterling” silver). They also bear marks for silversmith Maison Boin-Taburet, Paris circa 1873-1920 and also a tiny mark of "AL", likely for Adelson Limousin, Paris c. 1890. The other twelve pieces have what appears to be stainless steel blades, near pristine, and all marked "Boin-Taburet" also. Absolutely gorgeous, shimmering beauties! Don’t miss them.

Very good to excellent condition. No chips or cracks to the solid mother of pearl handles with just some wear and/or fading to the enamel filled incised monograms. All blades are also in great shape with just a few tiny nicks possible. See pictures for all weights and measurements.
