A lovely little portrait miniature, perhaps a bride with the floral headdress, dating early Victorian era, or Louis Philippe era, France (c.1830-40s). Her off shoulder gown and sidelong pose draws you in. She's set into a brooch, medium-sized at nearly 2" x 1 3/4" oval, and the front surface tests at 10k. The balance of the deep locket-like brooch is not gold. Would be a fun "something old" for a bride, or just a lovely addition to any collection. In from France years ago.
Very good condition for age and type. The painting is a bit simple, a tiny bit of what feels like slight moisture to her left. The brooch and glass are without loss or damage, and not even a tiny dent to it. Lovely and deep, the old cover glass is also without damage. No chips nor cracks to the wafer, either. Full measurements on photos.
