Elegant antique French Napoleon III to Belle Epoque era 11" sterling silver serving tray or charger, elegant shaped & fluted bordering with large ornate interlaced monogram! A beautiful piece, perfect as an under tray for a large covered legumier or tureen (as shown in the last image) or as a stand alone serving tray! Thick, heavy old French silver with the Mercure or Mercury hallmark, 2nd titre designates .800 silver content so it's not quite at the .925 standard for sterling silver but solid silver nonetheless. Silversmith marks for Gustave Veyrat (1894-1911), Paris. Great shape, both the form and condition, and easily incorporated into your existing fine silver table service. Don't miss it!
Very good-excellent condition. A few minor surface scuffs, possibly the tiniest dimple or two but it's in thick, heavy silver and built to last. See pictures for measurements.
