Gorgeous antique French hallmarked sterling silver 16oz. 'bachelor' or 'solitaire' sized tea or coffee pot with elegant Classical or French Empire styling including columnar fluting, acanthus accents and carved rosewood handle! A truly beautiful smaller piece, perfect for the times when we're having to be so isolated from friends and extended family. The piece stands a total of 6” tall with the acorn style finial and is 6.5” wide from handle to spout, it holds roughly 16 fluid ounces. The French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks on the body and lid, the tiny number “1” within those marks means it’s in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for “sterling” silver). The silversmith marks are for Lagriffoule & Laval, Paris circa 1899-1920s. A truly lovely piece, freshly in from France so don’t miss it!
Very good to excellent condition. No dents, dimples, damage or repairs that I can see. Possibly a tiny dimple or two that I my have missed but just look at the pictures, it’s as near perfect as one could hope for. Just polished to a high luster and ready for use.
