Charming Charles X (c.1838) or early Victorian portrait miniature in fine old French dore bronze easel or hanging frame, all original. Cover glass is in place and has kept this delightful young beauty at her best for nearly 200 years. A lace bonnet and period pink gown with shawl might indicate it is her bridal portrait. Flowers on her gauzy bonnet and the hairstyle both put her in the very earliest Victorian era, which in France would be identified as "Charles X".
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. frame retains easel and hanging loop and is a good size at 4" tall, 3" widest (0val) and .5" in depth overall. All tabs remain on back. Cover glass in place and undamaged, too. One from my own collection. Her beauty is exceptional. A slightly "come hither" side-long glance and almost a Mona Lisa smile. Superb in all ways.
