Fine antique Victorian to early Edwardian era 26.5" tall wall barometer & thermometer with ornate hand carved & turned wood case, original thermometer & wonderful visual appeal! Similar to Black Forest pieces only in the respect that itâs of the same period and in carved wood but the style is quite different with no hunt themed figures and more of a classically Victorian look. Turned wood columns framing the thermometer plaque, pierced or reticulated foliate accents framing the barometer. This one has the original thermometer mounted on a milk glass plaque with enamel numerals/markings. The barometer itself with open view mechanism and outer card dial with markings in French. A wonderful decorative accent, don't miss it!
Very good to excellent condition. Possibly a tiny nip or two but I see no larger chips, cracks, damage or repairs to note. Original barometer & thermometer intact and appear in fine working order but weâve not tested for accuracy. A portion of an old paper label on the back but nothing legible. See pictures for measurements.
