Wonderful antique to vintage French sterling silver 1 7/8" napkin ring, 80% or better pure silver with ornate guilloche style machined pattern including frieze style aesthetic band and interlaced âBB" monogram! This one bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the shape and tiny number "2" within means it's in at least .800 or better silver content (80% pure silver so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is not legible but the piece surely dates from the late 1800s to earliest 1900s.
Yes, a single here and one of several superb antique and vintage sterling silver napkin rings that we're adding today (and in the weeks ahead) so be sure to browse our current offerings to build a collection fit for royalty :). These are great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own!
Very good condition. Weighs a heavy 37 grams, built to last (as it has for its 100 or so years), great condition as you can see from the images. Some surface scuffing but it's in wonderful shape. See pictures for measurements.
