This late 19th to early 20th century sugar casket-sized jewelry box by Baccarat is in excellent condition, stunning in light, and priced to sell. The frame/mount is in Empire style, with acanthus leaves and a clasp mounted wreath. Fine facet-cut on all sides except bottom, which has a diamond flare to gather and push light. Fabulous display piece, or use it for sugar as the early 1800s ones were made to be. Measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition. I think early 20th century from the condition. I've run fingers and eyes across all points and am not finding any with chips. The dore bronze mount is in fine order, as well, with heavy hinge and clasp meant to last for centuries. There is no Baccarat signature, which is not the least unusual. A few surface abrasions on the bottom if you look very very close. Not much, though. A real beauty!
