This cabbage rose teapot pad or potential pillow is entirely made by hand of those heavy wonderful colored glass beads. C. 1850-80, it is brilliant in color and doesn't miss a single bead. Supple canvas has been beautifully backed in a brocade fabric. You could even unpick one side and insert a small down pillow and let it be a petit accent pillow or use as luxurious lumbar pillow.
Very good to excellent - In very fine condition throughout. Let it protect your tabletop and present your teapot, as it was made to do. Or create a splendid pillow, small or larger built into a rich velvet pillow top, lush-fringed outer edge. You'll enjoy it for generations. It's not quite square: 10" in one direction and 9.5" in the other, but seems square for use and planning. Time to sew? Or just tea.
