Fabulous & large antique 19th century to early 1900s Victorian to Edwardian era hand carved French or Swiss Black Forest style wall barometer, 29.5" tall with wonderful scrolled foliate carvings & turned wood pillars or columns! One of three great old wall barometers that we're listing this week, each unique and all superb! Perfect wall hanging decorative accents and you won't find them in better visual condition! The case is one of the more unique styles, with the ornate scrolled base and neoclassical styled upper half! A large bulbed thermometer & original enameled plaque centered between the upper columns, just a beautiful & impressive piece! We also have a large collection of antique Black Forest & carved wood treasures so, be sure to browse some while you're with us. Thanks!
Very good condition! No chips, cracks, breaks or repairs to be found other than a tiny nip or two. The thermometer and plaque appear to be original and have just two hairline cracks in the enamel top and bottom near the mounts for the thermometer itself. The original beveled glass barometer face is intact. All of the inner mechanisms appear intact but we're not sure if the barometer is in working condition. See pictures for measurements.
