This is not antique, but it certainly has the decorative look of the very finest 18th century carved French salt and spice and flour boxes or cabinets. This one is a much more modern copy and is listed as a decorator item only. Definitely looks like hand carved wood, complete with wood grain, but I'm quite sure it's a composite material, cast in sections and assembled. Priced as a fun kitchen decorative object, the beauty and quality is high on this one. When I bought it, I bought a matching boite à sels (salt box) which has carved basket and florals on front, and which is offered for sale separately (shown in final 2 images). A high quality reproduction - again, vintage but not antique. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent like-new condition. Great design and a very charming copy of the old antique French country flour cellar, cabinet, box we all love. I find no flaws to note. Composite with wood and resins to imitate hand carved wood eve shows grain. I found it in France, of course.
