Fabulous antique to vintage French hallmarked 18k gold on sterling silver "vermeil" and opaline or vaseline glass 5pc open salt set including larger master salt or condiment dish, two open salts and two spoons, all with Baccarat style lobed opalescent glass bodies and vermeil trim or bases! Aren't these gorgeous! Likely vintage and dating to the early to mid 1900s. All pieces bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver under the gold plating (95% pure so higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). There are silversmith marks but they're slightly obscured by the curvature of the fittings and only partially legible. There are markings on the glass base of the larger master salt or condiment bowl that appear to read "P. D'Avesn, Made in France". A gorgeous set, don't miss them!
Very good to excellent condition. I see no chips, there are no cracks or other notable damage. Some slight age tarnish to the vermeil and most visible on the insides of the spoon bowls. See pictures for all measurements.
