Gorgeous antique French sterling silver 2" napkin ring, 95% pure silver with elegant Empire or Classical styling including raised decoration, gilt or vermeil interior and acanthus accented medallion encircling an interlaced "BE" monogram! Stamped with the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the outer shape and tiny number "1" within means it's .950 silver content (95% pure so higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is legible but I've not been able to find reference for it as of yetnap.
Yes, a single here and one of several superb antique and vintage sterling silver napkin rings that we're adding today (and in the weeks ahead) so be sure to browse our current offerings to build a collection fit for royalty :). These are great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own!
Very good condition. Weighs a heavy 50 grams, built to last in style. Light surface scuffing possible, a bit of visible tarnish but it's in wonderful shape. See pictures for measurements.
