This is a favorite fun fur I've had for a long time. It's not a coat, not a jacket, but just a shawl or large collar with long fringe of mink in tassel form, tipped with complimenting blond fur. Versatile accessory, goes from evenings in summer to a winter formal and looks great doing it. Photos show how it's made. I remember buying it as "Edwardian", though clearly it is not, it only looks like it. We'd expect to see it in the wonderful series, Gilded Age, wouldn't we, along with some of our earlier inventory showing on sets. This one looks fabulous either with deep V front or set broadly on shoulders (see final photo). It's in perfect form, a couple of hook and eye closures at the front. Silk satin liner, no maker label at all. It has a custom maker feel to it.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. This will fit any size, really, since it's only a lush fox collar and fringe. With a V-front, on my 5'8" frame, the fringe drops to just below my waist, and it's shawl-like. Set to more vertical on bare shoulders or over an evening gown, the 8" fringe covers the bust line, barely. No flaws to note, no stains, no damage, no odor - perfectly cared for. I've had it about 10 years. Fun over a long sleeve black cashmere sweater and tailored wool slacks (mine are all AKRIS), for Paris nights. Incredible light and lush. Versatility!
