Absolutely exquisite antique French Napoleon III era sterling silver & carved mother of pearl 12pc 7 5/8" dessert or entremet table knife set, fabulous condition with unique engraved monogrammed blades and fitted presentation box! Heavy, solid shimmering mother of pearl handles, intricate engraved monograms on the hallmarked silver blades. The French Minerve or Minerva hallmark on seven blades, 2nd titre so they have .800 silver content. Five with German .800 silver hallmarks, likely replacements but very well done with matching monograms and all. Silversmith marks "M.F." though I've not been able to match up a name with the initials. A truly beautiful set, don't miss them!

Very good-excellent condition. No chips, cracks, damage or repairs to the pearl. No damage or repairs to the silver blades (other than the above mentioned replacement of five with German silver hallmarks). The box appears to be original, is marked "A. Jobin" on the inside and is in fine shape. The lid has gilt embossed script that reads "L.N. Souvenir des Catechumenes, Pentecote, 1886". See pictures for measurements.
