Gorgeous antique French Napoleon III to Belle Epoque era sterling silver castor set or oil & vinegar cruet stand with mustard pot, seashell or palmette style accents with interlaced "RL" or "LR" monogram, all original and in fabulous condition! I just love these old French silver pieces and this one leaves very, very little to be desired. Post-1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks on all separate pieces, the tiny number "1" within those marks designating .950 silver content (95% pure silver and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Emile Hugo, Paris circa 1853-1880. Two beautiful decanters & matching lidded mustard pot, all with wheel etched or engraved decoration that matches that on the silver stand. Rare to find one with the mustard pot. An exceptional piece, don't miss it!
Very good to excellent condition. A tiny nip or two is possible to the decanters and/or stoppers but no large chips, no cracks or repairs there. A minor dimple or two possible to the silver but no large dents, damage or repairs to note. The silver stand alone weighs 8.85 troy ounces or 275 grams. See pictures for individual measurements.
