Gorgeous antique French sterling silver 2" napkin ringwith ornate Louis XV or rococo style machined or etched decoration including seashells, lattice & scrolling tendrils, interlaced "CH" or "HC" monogram and gold or vermeil interior! It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in the upper right corner stands for French 1st quality (.950 or 95% pure silver content). The silversmith mark is only partially legible but is likely for Vve. Leontine Compere, Paris circa 1888-1919.
Yes, a single here and one of several superb antique and vintage sterling silver napkin rings that we're adding today (and in the weeks ahead) so be sure to browse our current offerings to build a collection fit for royalty :). These are great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own!
Very good condition. Weighs a relatively heavy 8 gramsand it's beautiful given its 100 or so years. Great condition as you can see from the images. Some faint surface scuffing possible and a bit of age wear to the vermeil inside. See pictures for measurements.
