Lovely antique French sterling silver 2" napkin ringwith ornate guilloche style machined or engraved decoration including foliage & wheat stalks and gold or vermeil lined interior! It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in the upper right corner stands for French 1st quality (.950 or 95% pure silver content). I do see the insect mark on the inside, the one used by the French for exact dating, but am not finding any silversmith mark.
Yes, a single here and one of several superb antique and vintage sterling silver napkin rings that we're adding today (and in the weeks ahead) so be sure to browse our current offerings to build a collection fit for royalty :). These are great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own!
Very good condition. Weighs a relatively heavy 35 gramsand it's beautiful given its 100 or so years. Great condition as you can see from the images. Some surface scuffing possible and a bit of visible tarnish on the inside. See pictures for measurements.
