Unique antique Victorian era hand carved oak 29" wide decorative accent, a cornucopia overflowing with flowers, ribbons, horn or funnel and large scoop or spoon. Usually these pieces have been taken from the top (or elsewhere) of larger carved pieces of furniture. Old 'salvaged' sections were generally the more ornate parts of the overall works and make wonderful decorative accents as they are. This one is rather unique and I'm a bit baffled about where on the larger piece it would have come from. It can be displayed as you see in the images or flipped and displayed vertically even. Simply hang on the wall or, turn them into part of your custom cabinetry, fireplace mantel, bar OR wouldn't it look great mounted over a doorway. Carved from what is most definitely solid old growth European oak and the theme of the carving is as charming as can be. Wonderful visual appeal no matter how you end up using or displaying it!
Very good condition. There are a few inconsequential chips but no real flaws to detract from the overall appeal. Thick, heavy old oak so it won't chip easily. Dark aged patina or stain to the face but you can see the natural oak from the rear. See pictures for all measurements.
