Charming antique to vintage likely Edwardian era Black Forest hand carved 21 7/8" tall wall barometer with thermometer, "œFruits of the Hunt" motif with hare figures and ornate pierced or reticulated tendrils & foliage! Not quite as old as some we offer, you can tell from the moderately less detailed figures but the theme is always popular and the condition of this one is superb. A lighter wood finish, hunt motif with the rabbit or hare figures depicted hanging as if fresh from the hunt and sure to please. This one has the original thermometer mounted on a slightly convex enamel on copper plaque with enamel numerals/markings. The barometer itself with open view mechanism and outer metal dial with markings in French. A lovely piece, don'™t miss it!

Very good to excellent condition. Possibly a tiny nip or two but I see no larger chips, cracks, damage or repairs to note. Original barometer & thermometer intact and appear in fine working order but we'™ve not tested for accuracy. I did notice, when working up the images, that the barometer is mounted at an odd angle so we’ll turn it slightly clockwise and remount with the screws as it should be ("Barometre Aneroide" should be centered at the bottom, not sure why or how it was turned). There are also a few old bug/worm holes around the barometer mount and one or two elsewhere but nothing active. A die stamp on the wood back that reads "œ1139". See pictures for measurements.
