French made Ralph Lauren Designer purse, bag, his signature saddle leather in an adjustable-strap expandable that is both versatile and virtually unused. Still with the designer's registration card, the original tag (showing original price at $2600, and markdown price at $1495), both remain with this stunning collector's bag. Made in France, it has every aspect of quality that you find in HERMES bags, and I rather suspect the bag was a contract from their atelier. A tethered lanyard holds a pair of keys to the hinged and elegant locking clasp. Interior has 3 divided sections with the center one being less deep than the outer two. One leather-flap clasp-closure pouch is worked into the back interior of the bag, also. Very easy to organize. And it can be a rather flat bag, or in ingeniously designed to expand to a substantial 6" in full depth (see baffles, which are unique to side and bottom). A serious masterpiece of leather craft, befitting the very top of the line Ralph Lauren collections. I've owned the bag for 15 or more years, I'd guess, and it's been kept in a dust cover. Only wore it one time. It's handle is set now for shoulder use, and it tucks perfectly against the body. You can extend it a little longer, or adjust to a much shorter handle, too. Likewise, the lock strap has 3 holes so you can adjust the depth of the bag.
Very good to excellent condition. Made it to markdown because there are a few imperfections to the exterior leather. I have not had any bags that are more perfectly crafted, except those by Hermes. I fully suspect this bag was a commissioned design from that maker but designer labeled for Ralph Lauren and by his special design. The saddle leather is gorgeous. Tags come with the bag as shown. Interior is pristine. The bag measures 10.75" wide, 8" tall. Can adjust from 1.5" flat, to 4.5" or more fully expanded/loaded. FABulous quality!
