Elegant raised white thick enamel kiln-fired on black glass, this rather rare complete set still has all parts, stoppers, and no chips or damage, making it a museum quality set for collectors. The set was found in France, described by my glass picker as French. Yes, there are Bohemian glass pieces made similarly, but not usually mounted into the ormolu stands. Could it be Harrach? I have not found a comparable in the thick History of Bohemian Glass reference book we have in our vast library. Experts, you might email me if you can prove to me it is Harrach. Either way, I think its value range will coincide owing to rarity, size, condition.
Very good to excellent. I find no chips to this set - is that a flea bite on one stopper? Might be. It's already gone to the warehouse. I'll annotate if I find it with a fingertip. So rare, however, to have both stoppers, no rim chips on any of the art glass pieces. They are beautifully done, decorated with raised enamel which is kiln-fired or torch heated to melt to the glass. Almost no loss on that - a couple of the raised jewel dots, a little of the applied gold. Large, impressive.
