The age and quality of this elegantly crafted 19th century French pendant has exceptional cut stones, to the point I did test them - they're not sapphire, but might be natural crystal, the cuts and facet are crisp and without rounding like often happens with the old French paste stones. The 4mm pearl is top quality, and it is obviously a bespoke jewelry item. The silversmith's diamond-shaped punch mark can be seen, but is too small for me to capture for identification. The boar's head profile can be read, however, and it is made of .800/1000 silver, which the French used often for diamonds, too, 18th century onward.  They do not look right for paste stones, however. The facets are too crisp, and I feel certain it is a much harder 'stone'. Old mine cut, the piece dates c.1850-70, Napoleon III.  Stones capture so much light!

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I find no flaws to disclose. The red box is not included. It is just one of our props for photos.
