Wonderful antique French Louis Philippe to Napoleon III era Creil et Montereau 10pc 7 3/4" cabinet plate set, figural scenes with winged Cupid and "L' Amour Partout" title! An older set, the marks on all are from Leboeuf, Milliet & Cie. and date between 1840-1876. All are from the same series, entitled "L'Amour Partout" (Love Everywhere) and each has a different figural scene. All are numbered and have their own subtitles, this set includes numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 (number 4 has two cracks). The subtitles read "La Mere des Amours" (The Mother of the Love), "Le Nid D'Amours" (The Nest of Love), "Si Je Te Retrouve L'Annee Prochaine Gare A Toi" (If I Fine You, The War Next Year Has You), "L'Entretien Dangereux" (High Maintenance), "Le Petit Indiscret" (Small Indiscretion), "On N'Entre Pas Monsieur" (?), "L'Amour A La Chasse" (Hunting Love), "L'Amour Les Conduit" (The Way to Love), "Ah Le Petit Gueux Faut-Il Soit Leger" (A Light Beggar?) and "La Chasse Aux Amours" (Loves the Hunt). Of course, I'm using an online translation program so what you see translated above might not be completely accurate :). A lovely set, great theme and perfect as decorative accents! Don't miss them!
Good-very good condition. As noted, one does have two hairline cracks extending inward from the rim at about 5 and 7 o'clock. A minor rim scuff here and there but no large chips, no other cracks and all are as you see them. See pictures for measurements.
