One of my favorites from my own collections, this 12.5" long excellent purse has the most lush and pretty, and complete fringe of all of them. Woven silk interior remains in fine condition, as does the beadwork bag's exterior. There is a "Made in France" cloth tag sewn inside. The frame is high gold finish and very pretty, too. Possibly someone's Early 20th century Grand Tour souvenir, it seems unused. I've had a couple of pristine ones still preserved in their original box, none of which were in any better condition, really. Very fine.
Very good to excellent condition, I can't find a single bead missing, not even on that long fabulous chevron of fringe. The body of the bag has a paisley feel to the design, entirely worked in silver, taupe and gold beads. Heavy, as you expect from glass bead bags, it has not pulled at the frame, either, which is unusual for a 100 or so year old bag. The silk lining has a pocket, likely once held a matching fabric mounted mirror. The button and hinges on frame are also just fine. Long chain, very nice throughout.
